HIGH-LOW BLACK SKIRT @ KOHLS| LOGO GRAPHIC TEE @ GUESS| DESTROYED DENIM JACKET @ AMERICAN EAGLE| HANDBAG @ KOHLS|I got this skirt on a whimp while i was shopping. I love the high-low trend, especially in high waist. This trend is very flattering, it elongates my legs and works well on my body frame. I find it very easy to wear and all so feminine, the perfect tease- you can show off your legs without showing everything else, not to mention how it kept the back of my legs very warm.
Being a black skirt, I can pair lots of different things with it, and transition from a day to a night outfit effortlessly. But today, is a day look, so I paired it with a white V-neck graphic tee and chic destroyed denim jacket, to give it a nice blend of a youthful chic day look with a hint of understated sophistication.
This skirt itself is such a statement piece, adding heavy accessories may have been too overbearing. So, I styled it with minimal accessories in mostly black colour. I find black very classy, conservative, and adventurous. The silver stone details on the heels of the shoe added its own piece of savoir faire to the outfit.
I was gifted with this pair of shoes by my Aunt last christmas, and I love it so much. I look for every opportunity to wear it and today was one, since I had this not so formal brunch meeting at Rio after picking up some organic condiments from Dawson's market.
I must compliment Rio here, Its an extremely beautiful resort. The scenery is amazing, peaceful and the entire place has a refined composure of urbarn culture and style. I found the restuarants very elegant, pristine and quite affordable.
I also checked out some of the stores there; Ann Taylor, White and Black, JOS.A. Everthing was on sale at the time so I really can't make any price comparisms but I can say all the staff were very sweet and welcoming. I did a bit of shopping too.( I know, right? Lol)
There were lots of fun activities for kids too, so in my humble opinion, it cuts across all ages which makes it a lovely place for family outings, couple dates, or just for a quiet time with yourself... I'm thinking valentine date as well. Lol.
I must say Rio is a spot you might want to try out if you haven't been already, and just incase one of your new resolution is to go organic and fresh produce; Dawson's market is a good place to start.
Thank you so much for staying through to the end. Have a wonderful new week!
